Splinter Cell: Operation Barracuda

Not really all that good. It's just brain crack.

Maltese Falcon

I saw Maltese Falcon last night with my father and sister. Hadn't ever seen it before. The Burglar Who Thought he was Bogart makes more sense now.

The Secret Life of Bees

I read The Secret Life of Bees today. It was a good book. If nothing else, makes me want to follow up on her references to books on bees: The Dancing Bees by Karl Von Frisch, The Honey Bee by James L. Gould and Carol Grant Gould, The Queen Must Die: And Other Affairs of Bees and Men by William Longgood, Man and Insects by L. H. Newman, Bees of the World by Christopher O'Toole and Anthony Raw, and Exploring the World of Social Insects by Hilda Simon.

A Certain Justice

A Certain Justice, John Lescroart. For some reason I love this author / series. Probably because of the depth of the characters -- characters with real flaws to be overcome.

Legend of Zorro

I saw Legend of Zorro in North Haven today. A middle aged Zorro balancing family and other responsibilities with heroism was interesting and perhaps deeper than the original, but just less fun than the romance, chemistry, and heroism of the simpler story of a younger Zorro.

Good Night and Good Luck

Great movie about a piece of history I don't know much about. I was most impressed by the quality of the script, the sentences, the words in the programs and speeches portrayed in the movie. Maybe we really are Amusing Ourselves to Death.
